«I was a city-lad who came to the countryside to become a farmer… I was 25 years-old, and in my head, it was organic or nothing!
I remember seeing my father, my uncles working to gather the straw bales while we, the kids, went to see the animals. We had the space to run, to cry. For a young kid it was a wonderful, marvellous environment to grow up in.”

«People absolutely must get as close as possible to the source of their food. Consume local, approach, meet, get to know the farmers who produce your food, and demand the governments a truly healthy and sustainable food system. For sure that the farther the consumer from the producer, the more the supply intermediaries, the price increases. At the farm our distribution system wants to be as close as possible to the client. So we have the community supported agriculture system (CSA) where families sign up to receive a basket every two weeks with produce directly from the farm. No intermediaries. So a whole distribution network which is making a small profit at each stage is short-circuited. Sometimes, even quite often, our products are less expensive than in the non-organic local shop.”
«The Land is not a place that should be covered with asphalt, with buildings, with polluting factories, with violence, with chemical products and poisons. I believe the Land is a place of good-living, a place that nourishes with its beauty and its vitality, as much as with the plants that grow and the animals that evolve.
I believe the Land is not a future Walmart, I believe the Land now is a lost paradise that must be reconstructed by the Human kind in collaboration with all the other species.
I believe the Land is not a highway, it’s a country road. I believe the Land is simply a mother that is open to me and that is going to open for me when I pass away, that will bear the tree that is planted in the place where I am buried, a tree that will grow and bear fruits and host birds and bird’s little nests, insects, little animals, and little families of little animals.
I believe the Land is a place that is extremely precious, that is privileged, that is unique in the Universe. I believe the Land is the source of our material and spiritual nourishment.”
